I really like Crane Alley. They have a fantastic beer selection (though not the best I've seen), and the [outside] atmosphere is great. They have the "usual" beers, along with a wide selection of random beers I'd never heard of. I went during the summer semester of UIUC, so I'm not sure about the quantity of drunken undergrads during fall and spring, but I was impressed at the quantity of grad students and "adults." One note: the waitresses have no idea about the beers they recommend. They (yes, I've been more than once and had multiple waitresses) do NOT describe the beers accurately.
