friendly staff and you have to try the sampler tray. its the only beer order you will make for the night!

Wynkoop's is a Denver staple. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I couldn't find a microbrew on tap that I like but they have Fat Tire and other Colorado favorites. Nice pool tables and there's a comedy club downstairs.

4 stars because it can be smoky, but looks like CO may go non-smoking statewide so that would bump my rating to 5 stars, and only 5 stars because 6 is not an option.
Wynkoop is the absolute best place to do two of my favorite things: enjoy a great beer and play pool. The upstairs is full of regulation-sized (9') billiard tables. There is good spacing between them, and it is pretty easy to walk in and get a table on a week night. Weekends you may find yourself waiting a bit, but have a seat at the bar and enjoy one of the many in-house brews available on tap.
This next part is the bonus round. Wynkoop gets several extra credit points because the food I have had there has been excellent. From your basic bar food to well prepared entrees the kitchen can produce something to please anyone.
