Had a chnace to drink a few WCS in the late 1990s at Brit's in Minneapolis. Still rate it as my favorite of all time. And yes, it was very sad when I returned one day to dind out they no longer could get it. Don't know why anyone would think soy sauce.. I think more sweet/nutty

It was a sad, sad day when Watney's Cream Stout (and Red Barrell, for that matter) fell off the manifest of beers exported to the US, but I was fortunate enough to try this one several times in the late 80s. Several people thought it tasted like soy sauce, but I call it a rich, nutty flavor that was almost warming even when served chilled. I highly recommend trying it if you happen across it.
