One of the best Chinese beers. It's best sold domestically in China as Qingdao rather than as Tsingtao for export. The brown bottles used to provide a fuller flavor because they more effectively filtered sunlight, but I'm told that doesn't matter anymore. It's made in a brewery established by the Germans during their colonial streak in Shandong.

Neither too light nor too flavorable; easily paired with heavy foods.

Ah thanks for reminding me of this one... it's what I get when I order beer with my takeaway from the local sushi restaurant. A light tipple that doesn't detract from the delicious taste of the Chinese meal.

With a slice of lime, this lager is superb with anything from General Tso's Chickent to egg rolls and wonton soup!
