Definitely a woody taste, slightly over-burnt but not undrinkable. The burn is found more in the waft than in the sampling, at which point the initial flavor is quite good. The after taste is slightly off. Honestly, not on par with the Bastard Ale.

Stone Brewery has a Smoked Porter that is the only brew to smoke a cigar with. Complex undertones of wood, and with a lovely finish that is not as bitter as Ruination. Must be drank while wearing the "Got Wood?" shirt. WoW!
