I love Smithwick's on draught. Excellent beer to go along with Pub food,
sandwiches, etc. Very smooth. Bottles are a toss-up, as the flavor and carbonation can be pretty inconsistent from bottle to bottle in my experience. Kind of like a surprise in every bottle. Over all a very good-tasting beer.

Kind of sweet but not over-powering. Goes down fairly smooth.

Smithwick's, pronounced Smid-ick's (as any Irish bartender will be quick to correct you on), is one of my favorite Irish brews. Very dark color with a very smooth, rich taste. It isn't too heavy on the stomach, so its easy to chase one with another, and another.

Fluffy off-white head tops a clear amber body, with lacing down the sides. Nose of caramel and slight biscuity-ness, though light. Moderate carbonation, ascerbic fizzyness, solid caramel malt (but thin) with hops providing enough balance and a refreshing finish. Goes down easy, quite sessionable, though not a great brew, but my favorite Irish ale since it's not as sweet as the others.
