Great summertime beer -- I'd take this in a heartbeat over any mainstream american lager.

is always better from the tap. and just like guiness tastes better in dublin, shiner tastes better in central texas. (whoever posted that was right.) nonetheless, one of the best thing you'll find at a grocery store. excited to see it's growing presence on the east coast. good darker stuff.

This is on tap at the Grog Shop music venue in Cleveland, OH. Not great, but slightly better than the Pabst Blue Ribbon tall-boys. Be ready for a hangover the next day or even later that evening.

This is definitely one of the better grocery-store available beers, but I've heard from a few Texans that it's somehow better in Texas.

A not-half-bad dark beer. My first choice in Houston whenever I was there for work.

...A pretty dark decent bock. Sure, it's not the greatest, but here in Houston, it's a staple for any beer-drinker. Quite a bitter aftertaste, but pretty drinkable day-to-day.

Decent beer from Texas. Personally I think Zeigenbock tastes a little better, but very refreshing when ice cold.

Texas gold standard. Excellent with mexican food. substitute a shiner instead of a dos equis if avaiable.

Not a bad beer for just chilling out on a hot summer night. Not a great amount of flavor, but better than some of that beer-flavored water...
