An interesting, and now rare, beer; it used to come in six-packs by itself, but now they only sell it as part of their seasonal 12-pack samplers. It is like other Scotch Ales in its taste and body; malty and not so hoppy with a slick mouth feel. However, the malt characteristic is not nearly as strong nor the alcohol content nearly so high as typical Wee Heavy style Scotch Ales like McEwan's.
