I didn't like Sam Adams Double Bock, so I was a little skeptical about their Black Lager, but boy was I surprised. This is a fantastic beer, IMHO the best thing Sam Adams has done.

a good hearty drink - malty, chocolately, roasty. nice, smooth finish to it with a great color.
