Discovered it in Park City, Utah. Awesome place. Awesome beer. I settle for Guiness here in OK.

Like Guinness, but harder to find and smoother to drink.

Murphy's is my favorite of the "Holy Trinity" of which Beamish and Guinness make up the other two corners. Murphy's has a slightly more mellow flavor than Guinness, with a touch of dark chocolate. It produces a thicker creamier head out of the can as well, and may take 5 minutes or so to settle. This encourages the drinker to take their time and enjoy the beauty that is a glass of good Irish stout.
I have not yet found a local pub that has it on tap, so until I do it will have to be from the nitro can which is as close as one can get.

Murphy's is a decent, dry Irish stout. I have had it several times in nitrogen-widget pub draft cans, and my impression each time has been that it is good, but a little bit bland when compared to its compatriots Guinness and Beamish.
