This stuff is pretty vile. It's hard to describe the flavor as anything other than "Not Good". It's not uncommon to hold back your gag reflexes when you take a swig of this stuff either. Sometimes it's almost difficult to tell whether you've just thrown up in your mouth or if that's just the beer.

While it trys to have a unique taste, cheap ingredients really make it fall flat. In fact, this beer really does taste flat most of the time, I've gotten a few bottles that were already leaking when I got them home.

I could blame a number of people other than the brewer for defect bottles but how often does Bud Light come pre-opened? I'm lazy, but not that lazy.

The attention and care that goes into making these is probably less than stellar. But for a cheap beer, I don't think you can do much better. It's my cheap beer of choice, obviously.

Here in the NYC, the Champagne of Beers is hard to find, this is really an Anheuser-Busch town. PBR is becoming as prolific as peep shows where in Times Square back in the 70s and 80s. While my love is with the PBR, it would be excellent to have an equal cost option for those Cheap Beer NYC nights out and be able to alternate once in a while. High Life would be a most excellent and natural 'Number Two'.

In MP's defense, I consider High Life a good beer as well. Among the very cheap, it's not all that bad (I'd rather a PBR, though). My ratings are of my overall impression of a beer, not just its comparision to craft brews. I don't know that I can back up Colt 45, though ;).

This is a great beer for the second half of wild parties that go late into the night. A guilty pleasure for sure but a great proletariat beer. Never underestimated the champagne of beers.

This is, without a doubt, the worst beer I have ever had in my life. It just tastes like horrible.... CRAP! I don't know how else to describe it. It really didn't even taste like beer.

Better than Natty Light? Just because Natty makes you sick at your stomach?

MP's review surprises me - user #2 on a site like this should have better taste in beer. Then again, Colt 45 is on the man's beer wall as well.

The only thing good to say about this beer is that it is better than Natural Light.

"The Champagne of Beers" - what else can I say.
