At 11% ABV, this is not a beer for a casual drinker. It's probably best that DFH doesn't release it frequently or my liver would be crying. That said, I would gladly nurse a bottle of Immort Ale for over an hour with no complaints. Complex and multilayered like I'd expect from Dogfish Head, but with a clarity of intent that makes it a great pairing for steaks and pastas.
