I hate to admit that I was too impatient to pour my fist Hobgoblin into a glass. Upon the pouring of the second bottle, I was astonished to find it so dark. Superbly smooth and drinkable! If possible, much better on tap. A great break-in beer for anyone that fears brews with color.

I concur with ellencult completely except it's a bit less intense than I expected. It's very drinkable, and well, I believe I'll have another. I got it here in the South Florida USA from my local Crown store.

It's a great beer - rich, dark and chocolatey, a touch hoppy, and nice and fruity. Plus, it has a great label to look at, and you can even get the t-shirt from the Wychwood brewery website. You can get it at good beer sellers in the UK, and from Sainsbury's supermarket. Well worth drinking, not too heavy, and an all-round good experience. Feels good in the mouth.
