Appearance: Black, thick, dark as all get out. The head is frothy and thick tan with good retention.
Aroma: Roasty burnt wiffs. Sweetness of honey, maple syrup slathered on bread. Very solid smells coming from a solid looking beer. Fruitiness and a slight twinge of sour might have some cherryness behind them.
Taste: Stick to your stuff mouthfeel. This might be the fullest bodied beer I've ever tasted. The bitterness from the roastyness is balanced by fruit (cherry and plums) and sweetness from caramel-like sources. This beer fills the mouth and coats it with flavor. Coffee flavor is balanced by chocolate and cherry sweetness. The alcohol is mostly hidden by the massive presence of the other flavors. Bitterness lingers for quite a while after the final swallow. Bubbles are nice and tingly, helping to achieve a superb mouthfeel.
Notes: This beer is comforting like a wooly blanket. There is little more to say here. Don't miss.

This beer is absolutely amazing. even though it's 13%abv, it drinks more like 4 or 5%. this is the best Imperial Stout I have ever tasted. It's kinda hard to get ahold of, but definitely worth the trouble.
