Strong and very chocolaty. The first few sips let you know that this beer has some serious alcohol content, but that quickly fades and you're simply left with a deep, semisweet chocolate flavor that is absolutely delicious.
One really has to be close to sober to appreciate the flavoring of this brew, but its strength precludes further drinking of anything else afterwards. This would make for a fine dessert beer, or a companion to a nice steak.
The raw strength of the flavor is the sole reason I cannot give this beer 5 of 5. I'd recommend it if you're in the mood for a beast!

Far too sweet for my tastes. I could only handle about half a bottle before my taste buds were overwhelmed and deadened by the overbearing sweetness of this beer.

Incredible beer on tap, not so much in the bottle. Hard to find down here, look forward to it on the winter northern trips.
