I have drank my share of the Bridgeport IPA. I can say it has defnintely made my bowling league much more enjoyable. As for an IPA, there is a decent malt and hop balance, better on tap than in bottles, drinkable when there are limited beers available. It is a staple beer in the Pac NW.

This is by far the gold standard of IPA beers. The hops are floral and give it the kick that it needs. Bridgeport is one of the progenetors of the micro-brew revolution, and happily has survived, and done well for themselves.

I didn't used to think I would find an IPA I liked better then Sierra Nevada, but Bridgeport proved me wrong. The new standard to measure against. Excellent flavor, good balance of hops without being too bitter.

Bridgeport IPA is the standard by which all IPAs are judged. It is light in color, crisp, refreshing, hoppy and a pleasure to drink.
This is what an IPA should be.
