This ale is truly breakfast in a bottle. Imagine, if you will, a dark, thick oatmeal stout with the flavors of coffee (dark, espresso roast coffee) and dark chocolate. There are hints of maple and molasses, and I think I even tasted pancake, bacon and fried eggs in there (the last three might be pushing it a bit!) It is low in carbonation - not much of a head at all, and topped by a bit of an oil slick. This is a FABULOUS beer on tap, and excellent for take-home in a four-pack.
