It's a nice dark brew with a light caramel aroma and a nice bitterness. It's from New Orleans originally, though the most recent batch I've tried was brewed in Wisconsin due to the brewery suffering damage to the New Orleans facility during Hurricane Katrina.

Discovered it in college as well but still enjoy it when I can find it. It's a wonderfully inexpensive, full flavored, light beer.

I'm sad to say this, because in college (longer ago than I thought...) I found the Voodoo brews to be interesting and even good, but a recent re-acquaintance with both the lager and the Crimson Ale revealed what I suppose is either the decline of the brewery or tha maturity of my taste buds.

Not bad if you like cough syrup.
