Originally started out as a BCA (Bottle Conditioned Ale) it went on to become available as a cask-conditioned ale in numerous Shepherd Neame houses.
It is named after the old fashioned Kentish road signs which were shaped like a finger, a bishops finger.

Excellent dark ale, Rich chocolately malt with a hint of fruit and nut flavors.
