Dark treacle in color with a toffee-colored head and lower carbonation than other porters. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Not overly flavourful, some more chocolate, perhaps a hint of nutmeg. No discernible hop flavor but certainly hops have been used to give it a certain bitterness. Drinkable but nothing special about this porter.

Bells definitely makes one of the greatest porters in the Midwest. Can't really go wrong with cracking open a bottle. This is a smooth dark brew, that is guarenteed to satisfy the palate of the porter aficionados. You should know by now that whatever Bells brews, gotta be good.

Good hop flavor, drinkable, balanced a good before dinner beer. Brings a nice closed to a day. The simple life of beer, front porches and long days in the sun.

A tremendously well balanced robust porter. Dark brown color with a thick off-white head. Flavor is predominately roasted grains with little to no hop flavor. The hop bitterness perfectly balances, but does not overpower, the malt and grain flavor.
