While B to the E has gotten badly maligned, it's nevertheless an enjoyable brew; it's just a matter of when you enjoy it. While it is somewhat of a marketing experiment more than anything else, it's a good beer for people who want to wake up a bit after having had several other beers.
It's actually a fairly straightforward lager, much like the rest of Anheuser-Busch's concoctions, with added caffeine, in the form of the guarana bean. Each can has 54 mg of caffeine, about the same as half a cup of coffee. It also has some added spices like ginseng and such which are probably so minute that they don't add to the flavor any, and it also contains some form of fruit or berry flavoring as well.
The upshot is that if you're going to take a vacation and spend a week drinking, get several of these for good breakfast beers. It's actually quite tasty first thing in the morning, and serves to wash away all the nasty leftovers from the night before. However, don't pay as much for it as you would a normal energy drink, as it simply is not as strong as they are.
It's becoming a bit hard to find nowadays. I guess the marketing blitz died down. Still, if you are too much of a beer snob to even try it, at least try a couple of them at various times, so you won't be a hypocrite as well as a beer snob.
