a wonderful example of how great marketing can make a good beer great.

ar-ro-gance (ar'o gans) n. : The act or quality of being arrogant; undue assumption; overbearing conceit; haughty
Arrogant Bastard Ale: This is an aggressive beer. You probably won't like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate an ale of this quality and depth. We would suggest that you stick to safer and more familiar territory – maybe something with a multi-million dollar ad campaign aimed at convincing you it's made in a little brewery, or one that implies that their tasteless fizzy yellow beer will give you more sex appeal. Perhaps you think multi-million dollar ad campaigns make a beer taste better. Perhaps you are mouthing your words as you read this.

The biggest, brashest, boldest Ale I've tasted. Great stuff!

Once I was having issues with my PHBoss, he suggested we go for a beer to discuss, and we sorted it out over a bottle of Arrogant Bastard Ale each. Keep the screenprinted bottle to amuse your friends. Its very strong - over 7% - and comes in a 23oz bottle...

The large bottle is always a little bit more than I want, but I think that's what AB is about anyhow, haha.
If you've never read the bottle be sure to pick one up. The funniest bottle copy of any product ever. And the beer is certainly good, too. You will definitely know you are drinking a beer.

Big, big, big!!! Wonderful balance between the sweet malt and citrusy hops. Excellent with food or by itself.

A massive ale. Anything else tastes like water after a sip or two of this bad boy.

One of my current favorites - it's big, bold flavor hits you hard on the first sip, but mellows nicely. As other reviews have mentioned, it does have the malt taste to it, but it's balanced well with the rest of the flavors...

Outstanding. Strong enough to let you know its there, but smooth all the same.

This beer is tasty malty goodness. Useful tip: Stone Brewery has a tasting room open during December on Saturday. Check website hours, the trip there is well worth the time. The brewmasters are cheerful and generous with their samples. You can even buy a 2 liter "Growler" container, and have it filled right there in front of you to take home.

Great balance between malt, hop aroma and bitterness. If it wasn't so difficult to find on the east coast, it could be my everyday beer.
Plus the bottle and box labeling are great!

Very nice brew, especially if it's fresh. You hop heads will like it.
