Not many people know that Abita makes a root beer, and even fewer have ever found it on tap, but if you happen to be at a bar that is close enough to New Orleans to have some (at least one bar in Memphis has it on tap), do yourself a favor and order a glass.
It is, bar none, the best root beer ever made.
They use pure cane sugar instead of corn sugar, and this definitely adds to the incredible taste. It's also caffeine free if that sort of thing matters to you. Truly, a rare gem.
