This is the first time I've enjoyed any of the brews from Dogfish Head and I doubt it will be the last. A very good IPA although the hop aroma and initial bite is a bit less than I like. It does have a good amount of bitterness that in my opinion does linger. Quite drinkable and enjoyable.

I'm sitting over my second glass (ever) of Dogfish Head's 60 Minute IPA. It's good. Real good.

I chilled the pint glasses in the freezer and gave the brew a bit of cold polish in the deep freeze as well (I like my IPAs cold, daddy, cold).

I am an IPA fan (to say the least). I love everything about a proper, hoppy IPA -- don't get me started on flat gnarliness that some *cough* Canadians *cough* call an IPA (Tree Brewing's Hophead excluded, of course). As IPAs go, 60 Minute IPA does not disappoint. It is a truly exquisite brew.

The hoppy tang sticks to the roof of your mouth, not even an inkling of bitterness. Almost no aftertaste. The tang leaves almost as quickly as it comes on. I almost wish it would linger for a second longer, but it's crispness is transitory...fleeting...short and citrus-y sweet. It may remind the seasoned IPA aficionado of the extravagant Big Daddy IPA from SF, or perhaps something like the delicious lovechild of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and a quality Belgian style ale. I could almost drop an orange slice into it, but not quite -- it's delightful as it is.

This beer would be a fine accompaniment for Italian fare... perhaps a pesto pizza or a deep bowl of gnocchi in red sauce. Certainly a brew that makes you want to enjoy every moment of its consumption.

I would give it a 5 star review, but I feel it could be even hoppier...tangier...I suppose I will be heading to my newly discovered beer emporium in search of the 90 minute variety in the near future...

I'll be sure to report back when that happens...
