Not a bad beer, better than most piss tasting crap like fosters etc, but other better beers out there.

temporary favorite. then i saw it in uk sold as a beautiful yellow tall boy. now it's grown old. too light although it still has a bite.

Too bland to be a nutbrown. The flavor is just too balanced to actually have any character. Don't get me wrong, I am overjoyed when i see Newcastle on tap when there is nothing but budweiser, miller and rainier to drink. It is a drinkable beer, but when faced with a solid microbrew, it just does not make the mark.

For some reason, I can't pinpoint it, but I just don't like this beer. It's so-so, and yet some people love it.

Not a beer I had had a lot of experience with but on a recent trip I drank several of them and very much enjoyed them.

Probably the best mainstream beer available today. I once read a quote that said, "If you don't like Newcastle, you don't like beer." I agree.

This has been my favourite beer for more than 10 years. Absolutely fabulous. Mild flavour, not hoppy at all. Goes with anything.

Had this for the first time when I was up in Stow, Massachusetts. Very nice beer, I can dig it!

This is what I drank all through college and still have many fond memories inspired by this rich, brown ale. Not as flavorful as most microbrews and I've found the consistency to be wanting, probably due to the fact that they use clear glass bottles, which tends expose the beer to too much light.

Still, a fine brew.

Ahh Newkies! One of the finest out there, in my book. Smooth, flavorful and dark. Makes a great beer batter for fish-and-chips too. What more can you ask for?

Enjoy your bottle of dog with a jelly bean in the bottom to lose the last few sour drops before getting another one.

Reliable, but doesn't really stand up to an educated palate.

While this is a darker beer it still tastes pretty light (for a non-light beer). Loads of flavor without that bitter aftertaste.
