It'll put hair on your chest... looks like I've had a few too many. My good'ol standby - love it! It's always a good time for a Guinness. (Is that trademarked? Can I use it here?)

Nothing to say that other users haven't said yet... My better advices: if you already have tried it... well, you know what I'm talking about... maybe you're drinking one right now. But if you haven't tried it yet... what are you waiting for? Live is so short! :D

Doesn't get much better than this. I agree with davemadethis in that you learn to love it and it is magical. The bottle gas can is great too. Gotta love a company that takes their beer seriously.

I lived in Ireland for a few years. You learn to love it. To watch a pint (pulled properly) settle in front of your very eyes is magical. I LOVE the stuff.
Also love a beer that includes a widget designed to pour your bottle/can correctly. Now that's innovation!
Slainte,
Dave

I'm really starting to love this beer, especially the heavier variant that's for sale heer in Belgium. The original rather weak version is a bit too weak for my taste, but the heavier (8%) version is excellent, a rather heavy beer, with a characteristic taste guinness taste nowhere else found.
great beer to sing along with

A consistently good stout however I'm more an American stout lover and am not fond of the burnt taste. Don't get me wrong, I would never turn down a Guinness though.

The black classic.
A draught preferably, a can in a pinch, a bottle only when in dire need.

Hardly a day goes by without a hearty stout,
A Guiness draught, no doubt.
Hardly a day? Fie, tis often an hour or less a Guiness comes my way.
Aye, barkeep, pull me another and none of it sour,
bring me a Guiness for there lies me power!

One of the finest, no doubt. Drink too many and you'll feel like you ate half a loaf of bread. What is the consensus on black and tan?

I'm not a big stout drinker. I find Guinness to be okay in most forms, but if properly drawn from a nitrogen tap, it is truly excellent.

A great dark beer, chocolaty, goes down well, can stay long without going bad.
The only thing i didn't like about it is that there was a watery taste along with the beer, but this of course could have just been from an very powerful fridge.

Guinness has always been my favorite... It is so easy to drink, like chocolate milk... I can down a pint in less than a minute easily, and the second one doesn't take much longer than that...

What more is there to say about this classic stout? Rich and chocolatey, beautifully dark with that unmistakable foamy head. For some reason, I've never found this beer to be heavy -- quite the opposite, actually -- and have been known to drink several in a sitting, probably due to the (relatively) low alcohol content.
Best straight from the tap, the cans with the nitrogen capsules are acceptable for home, but tend to be a little metallic tasting. On St. Patrick's Day, don't forget to try an Irish carbomb to get your night started right.

Guinness is good but I can never drink more than one at a time. It's just too thick and dark for me. Yeah I'm a lightweight.

If I had one beer on a desert island, this would be it. I like it because it forces me to slow down and savor. I'd rather have 2 Guinness over the coarse of an evening than anything else.

For a comment, I'll just quote a song:
"Now it's the blackest thing in Ireland,
that you have ever seen.
So God save Arthur Guinness!
And the Devil take the Queen!
It took a lot for me to know
what life is all about,
ah, but now I know the answer and it's
GUINNESS IRISH STOUT!"

I'ma let you all in on the best Guinness mix up since Irish Car Bombs.
Step 1: Get yourself a "true" pint (16oz)
Step 2: Mix 4 parts Guinness and 1 part Linderman's Raspberry Frambois Lambic.
Step 3: Drink up, ya queers.
Like a big ol' chocolate raspberry cake, great for breffix.

The Cadillac of dark beers. Creamy going down, with a flavor that hints of chocolate and coffee (suggests sweet while drinking, with a mildly bitter coffee after-taste).
In a perfect world, you should be introduced to Guiness in an Irish pub where they take the pour seriously, i.e. you order, then wait, and wait, and wait, then make the rookie mistake of catching the bartender's eye because you're sure he forgot about your order, then wait, and finally receive your pint with a shamrock carved into the thick white head.
It's a contemplative, sipping beer that you can't help taking large mouthfuls of and best enjoyed over good conversation with friends - preferably with Irish music playing in the background.
If you don't love it like an ex you're heartbroken to be without, do try and and cultivate a taste for. You won't be getting into heaven until you do.

The beer deserves a 5/5, but you cannot always get it properly. Despite efforts by Guinness, the bottled is nowhere near as good as draft.
And with draft, because of Guinness' thickness - only the most experienced bartender can pour Guinness.
To properly enjoy, you must also wait a few minutes while the head goes down. But, if the rules are followed - no other beer compares!

Good in any glass, from a pint... to a yard, for those more serious.

The classic stout. Guinness is for the discerning palate. A bit bitter, so it's not for everyone, but a cold pint goes down easy on a hot day. Also the key ingredient in a Black & Tan (Guinness floating on Bass), or (my favorite), a yellow jacket (Guinness floating on Woodpecker Cider).

What can a say about the Black Pint - When poured properly it is a masterpiece. I can't drink too many of these but - I do love a good pint. Less calories than coors light and more Iron than a 10 penny nail. They don't say Guiness for Strength for nothin'.
